Imago Relationship Therapy

Imago Relationship Therapy teaches couples new patterns of listening, speaking, and responding to each other that fosters better understanding and deeper connection.

 Founded by Harville Hendrix, the Imago philosophy helps couples attain more loving, supportive, and deeply satisfying relationships. The Imago Dialogue, as facilitated by a Certified Imago Therapist, provides a structured conversation in which partners mirror each other’s words, summarize them for clarity, validate their differing perspectives and ultimately, arrive at empathy.

IRT looks for the source of conflict—which often hides within one’s personal narrative and surfaces as triggers and sensitivities. By helping partners recognize and heal each other’s pasts, they will grow both individually and as a couple.
